What does your shop do and how do you work with Drupal?

Denver DataMan uses Drupal in order to build applications for our clients that make them more efficient. We also build websites for companies that want to be able to manage their own content and become more self-sufficient. Our training services differentiate us from many of our competitors and this is what keeps our clients coming back.

Our Drupal training services are focused on the features that each client needs and on the specific installation that each client has. We have done training on stock Drupal installations, custom installations and custom modules. We work with our clients to understand their workflows and often help them to smooth the edges of their existing Drupal sties to be more usable.

How did you first get involved in Drupal development?

Denver DataMan started using Drupal three years ago to build the Denver DataMan site. Shortly after completing the Denver DataMan site a client saw, Steve, our founder, using the site and wanted one for their company. Steve forged partnerships with developers and designers to make a complete team. The rest is history.

What type of work and/or websites do you specialize in?

We specialize in websites for small businesses that integrate the tools that our clients need. We understand that not everyone that we come in contact with are as “computer savvy” as they would like to be so we offer foundational skills training. We are currently and actively working on several print-on-demand PDF generating Drupal sites.

What are you most looking forward to at DrupalCamp Colorado?

As our team expands, training our sales and training team to understand aspects of Drupal that they have not worked with directly is challenging. We are hoping they will learn things that they might not pick up on the job and get excited about Drupal, its key functions (and some obscure ones) and associated modules. The purpose of this is so that they can educate and eventually sell the products to our clients.

Where do you provide Drupal and other services?

Denver DataMan has a geographically diverse clientele; however, the majority of our clients are in the Denver metro area. We can provide development and training services to clients anywhere in the world. We love to be face-to-face with the people we train but we can also provide training using webinar technology.

Is there anything else you'd like our attendees to know?

Denver DataMan is more than just a Drupal house. We are computer trainers and we teach people to use Microsoft Office, CRM software, social media and the other tools people use in business. We are unique in that we will learn your custom applications and software, whether proprietary or out of the box and then teach you and your staff how to utilize it.
