I recently tackled the problem of creating a video distribution site that achieves a number of goals, including:

• The automation of video conversion into multiple formats
• Optimization for iPhone / iPad viewing of videos
• File-level access control based on purchases of single videos, collections or full subscriptions
• Ajax-based, Views-integrated playlists
• Single-field searching of videos
• Integrated tools for triggering HTML overlays or Javascript actions at specified points in a video (to display a clickable URL, for example)

In this session, I'll demonstrate how I was able to build a site to meet these goals with a minimum of custom coding, and will illustrate several tips and tricks that can be invaluable if you ever need to integrate similar rich-media distribution with a project.
